Her parents leaving her behind, eleven year old high-achieving student Emi is forced to spend the weekend with her grandma, the head monk at a Buddhist temple. Growing more and more frustrated at her grandma doing “nothing,” Emi struggles with her grandma’s guidance to reconcile her Western hustle culture mindset with the Buddhist ideal to simply “be”.
